I IS HOOKED ON THE UKELELE! After dismissing it as a plinky-plink toy i am now in love with it for it's size and the way the strings are wired... much easier to do solos than on guitar. I could never really comprehend the guitar. Anyway. FIRST VIDEO EVER: +1 for self-entertainment... HA

One also hopes to make heaps of money on the streets while travelling... with some practice... HEH

renting house

We can’t seem to get our old house sold. We’ve had it one the market for almost a year now, and over a dozen people have looked at it, but we’ve had zero offers. There is no way we can afford to house payments, and we are moving in 2 months. If we could find someone to rent it, we would. That way, our mortgage would be getting paid by someone else, and we’d still aquire the equity. Then, when the market got a little better, we could hopefully sell it and get out from under it. I think it would be much more marketable as a rental property if the rent included things like utilities or internet. I’ve got to research satellite internet in my area to see if it is something we can do. I know when we used to rent, our utilities and internet was included in the rent. Not everyone does that, but it sure does make it much more likely that someone would pick our place over another one.

So I have been staying at a squat house on and off for 2 weeks... hardcore... well it's not that bad but i don't think it's something i wanna do forever...!!! Lol... But the people there are just awesome, even if the house is nothing to shout about (well what is one to expect of an abandoned building???)...

Austin is the capital of Texas, but in my opinion is is the coolest city in Texas and possibly even the coolest city in the world. We have been wanting to move there since we graduated college, but the opportunity never presented itself. Last month, we got a call that my husband had a job offer there. We immediately took it and started looking for a great place to live. We ended up finding a really funky condo. It is perfect and suits our personality as a couple. It is not something that our parents would have picked. It is a loft condo and we are going to fill it with contemporary furniture. Other than picking out great furniture, the place is move in ready. The only thing that I want to do is to call AUSTIN TX HOME SECURITY and have an alarm system put in. I just can’t wait to start our new lives in Austin.

Oh to live the gypsy life

So 3 months Down Under is ending... i wonder what's next? So many things that need to be done and possibly require me to be in 1 location... but... screw that... i think i'll try to get to New Zealand as quickly as i can...!!! And for a 6 month stretch, too! AND... check out Henessey Hammocks... i will defo be getting one of those! For use in my bedroom if i can clear out the required space!!! YEE HAAA!!!
